The Patronus Project
→ Fred WeasleySpotted Hyena’s are social animals that live in communities called “clans” (which in relation; the Weasley Clan. It’s large, as a hyena clan tends to be). Compared to other hyena breeds, the Spotted Hyena expressed a far greater level of intelligence; noticed first by Dutch colonists who caught onto the fact hyenas were exceedingly cunning and suspicious, particularly after successfully escaping from traps. Hyena’s in general are known to be scavengers, and tricky about it. There are times where Spoted Hyena’s would disembark from their clans, but never alone. They are crude in greeting, and hostile towards siblings at times. Therefore, the part of the Spotted Hyena would be a fair, minor reflection of Fred in a semi-relation, since Patronus’ tend to imitate the nature of personality. Of course, not all aspects tie in to who Fred is but it’s a very good stab at it. Hyena’s are fiercely protective when it comes to things that are theres, and isn’t that Fred himself? One of the many Hyena symbolism’s is humour, due to the sounds they make. They replicate the sound of human laughter; over all, they can represent a humorous nature, and a lack of seriousness.
I’d say that fits pretty well, especially since the last thing Fred ever did was laugh.
